Amazon EventBridge Scheduler introduces 619 new SDK API actions
Amazon EventBridge Scheduler has expanded its AWS SDK integrations, adding 619 new API actions across 13 services, including Lambda Managed Instances, to enhance scheduling capabilities.
Amazon has announced a significant expansion of its EventBridge Scheduler, incorporating 619 new API actions across 13 additional AWS services, including AWS Lambda Managed Instances. This development enhances the capabilities of the AWS SDK integrations, allowing users to schedule direct invocations of a wider array of AWS services without the need for custom integration code.
EventBridge Scheduler is a serverless tool designed to facilitate the creation, execution, and management of billions of scheduled events and tasks across over 270 AWS services. This is achieved without the necessity of provisioning or managing any underlying infrastructure. With the recent expansion, users can now schedule a more extensive range of AWS API actions directly from the Scheduler. This includes the ability to scale Lambda managed instances up or down based on a time-based schedule, offering precise control over capacity provisioning.
These new enhancements are now generally available across all AWS Regions where AWS EventBridge Scheduler is offered. However, the availability of specific services and API actions may depend on the presence of the target service in the respective AWS Region. For more detailed information about the AWS EventBridge Scheduler SDK integrations, users are encouraged to consult the Developer Guide.
