Claude platform on AWS is now generally available
AWS has announced the general availability of the Claude Platform on AWS, allowing customers to access Anthropic’s native platform experience through existing AWS accounts, without managing separate accounts or billing.
Today, Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced the general availability of the Claude Platform on AWS, a new service offering customers direct access to Anthropic’s native Claude Platform experience via their existing AWS accounts. AWS has become the first cloud provider to offer access to this native experience. This new service allows developers and organizations to access Anthropic’s Claude Platform, including APIs, a console, and early-access beta features, directly through their AWS accounts without the need to manage separate accounts, billing, or tracking.
The Claude Platform on AWS is operated by Anthropic, with customer data being processed outside the AWS security boundary. This service is tailored for development teams and enterprises seeking access to Anthropic’s Claude Platform development experience without specific regional data residency requirements. Customers can continue using existing IAM credentials and access controls, benefit from consolidated AWS billing, and utilize CloudTrail audit logging to ensure full security visibility.
The features available through Claude Platform on AWS include Claude Managed Agents (beta), advisor strategy (beta), web search, web fetch, code execution, files API (beta), Skills (beta), MCP connector (beta), prompt caching, citations, batch processing, and the Claude Console for prompt development and evaluation.
Claude Platform on AWS is accessible in several regions, including US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (Oregon), Canada (Central), South America (São Paulo), Europe (Dublin), Europe (London), Europe (Frankfurt), Europe (Milan), Europe (Zurich), Europe (Paris), Europe (Stockholm), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Melbourne), Asia Pacific (Jakarta), and Asia Pacific (Sydney).
