AWS introduces scheduled email delivery for billing and cost management dashboards
AWS has introduced scheduled email delivery for its Billing and Cost Management Dashboards, allowing automated report distribution on flexible schedules.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced that its Billing and Cost Management Dashboards now offer the capability for scheduled email delivery of reports. This new feature allows users to automate the distribution of reports on flexible recurring schedules, thereby eliminating the need for manual compilation and ensuring that financial insights are delivered to decision-makers without the necessity of console access.
With scheduled email reports, users can set up daily, weekly, or monthly delivery schedules for their dashboards. Recipients will receive emails containing secure links to password-protected PDF reports, which are optimized for offline viewing. Users can manage recipients through AWS User Notifications, and once the configuration is complete, the reports will generate and distribute automatically based on the selected schedule. Additionally, these capabilities can be accessed programmatically using AWS SDKs and CLI tools.
This feature is available at no additional cost in all commercial AWS Regions, with the exception of the AWS China Regions. To begin using this feature, users should open the AWS Billing and Cost Management console, navigate to the Dashboards section, select a dashboard, and choose ‘Manage email reports’ from the Actions menu. For further details, users can refer to the Dashboards user guide and the announcement blog post.
