Access cluster insights via Amazon OpenSearch Service console and Amazon EventBridge
Amazon OpenSearch Service now allows access to Cluster Insights via the AWS Management Console and publishes insights to Amazon EventBridge, enhancing monitoring capabilities.
Amazon OpenSearch Service has enhanced its offering by providing access to Cluster Insights through the AWS Management Console. Previously accessible only via the OpenSearch UI Dashboards, this new feature simplifies the process of reviewing performance and resilience recommendations, allowing users to implement necessary configuration changes directly within the Console.
This update also introduces the capability for Cluster Insights to publish insights as events to Amazon EventBridge. Cluster Insights delivers curated insights into a cluster’s operational health, paired with actionable recommendations designed to preemptively address potential issues that could impact the cluster’s stability or performance.
While the OpenSearch UI Dashboards continue to offer detailed metrics, such as index and shard-level data and top-N query analysis, the new integration with Amazon EventBridge provides an additional layer of monitoring capabilities. Users can now track insights through these EventBridge events, enhancing their ability to maintain optimal cluster performance.
Cluster Insights is available at no extra cost for OpenSearch versions 2.17 or later, across all regions where the OpenSearch Service is offered. For a full list of supported regions, users are encouraged to consult the official resources provided.
