AWS HealthImaging launches in Europe (London)

AWS HealthImaging has now been launched in the AWS Europe (London) Region, expanding its availability to healthcare providers, life sciences organizations, and their software partners in the area. This service is HIPAA-eligible, allowing these entities to efficiently store, analyze, and share medical images on a massive scale.

Offering a fully managed infrastructure, AWS HealthImaging facilitates the storage of medical imaging data. It provides both DICOMWeb APIs for seamless integration with existing applications and AWS-native APIs for those opting for cloud-first implementations. The service promises significant cost savings, potentially reducing storage expenses by up to 40% compared to traditional self-managed solutions.
