Amazon SageMaker enhances domain management for various domain types
Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio has extended its domain management features to include both Identity Center and IAM-based domains, allowing for comprehensive project management and configuration capabilities.
Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio has expanded its domain management capabilities to include both Identity Center and IAM-based domains, enabling these functions outside of the AWS console. This advancement allows administrators and data management teams to efficiently create and manage projects, configure workforce identity, manage users and permissions, and set networking properties for projects. Previously, these capabilities were exclusively available for IAM-based domains.
With the latest update, administrators of Identity Center-based domains can now utilize SageMaker Unified Studio’s portal for domain management. This includes the ability to create projects with configurable execution roles, which determine the AWS analytics, AI, and ML services accessible to the project. The VPC configuration remains consistent across both domain types, and is inherited by all projects, with the option to edit the VPC, subnets, or security group as needed.
Moreover, administrators can manage associated accounts, facilitating the publication and consumption of data across different AWS accounts within SageMaker Unified Studio. These features are now available in all AWS Regions where Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio is operational.
