Partner revenue measurement now supports AWS Marketplace metering for select products

AWS has introduced Partner Revenue Measurement integration with AWS Marketplace Metering for certain AMI and ML products, enhancing revenue insights and service consumption tracking.

AWS has announced the integration of Partner Revenue Measurement with AWS Marketplace Metering for specific Amazon Machine Image (AMI) and Machine Learning (ML) products available on AWS Marketplace. This new feature enables partners to gain a deeper understanding of their revenue impact and the consumption patterns of their products on AWS. The AWS Marketplace Metering capability automatically tracks the consumption of AWS services when customers purchase and utilize AMI and ML products through the marketplace.

With this integration, partners can now obtain valuable insights into how their solutions influence the usage of Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) and Amazon SageMaker AI services. This applies to both partner-managed and customer-managed accounts. This approach enhances the existing Partner Revenue Measurement tools, such as Resource Tagging and User Agent string capabilities, by attributing usage without necessitating additional implementation efforts from partners.

The Partner Revenue Measurement feature is now generally available across all commercial regions.
