Gaming Giant Take-Two Embraces AI Without Compromising GTA-6 Craft

Take-Two Interactive — the publisher behind Grand Theft Auto VI — confirmed it’s actively integrating generative AI into backend operations to improve efficiency and creativity pipeline workflows. According to the company’s CEO, hundreds of AI pilot projects are underway across studios, aimed at reducing repetitive tasks and freeing teams to focus on core game design.

Crucially, the firm emphasised GTA 6 itself will not use generative AI content, underscoring a careful approach to blend innovation with creative authenticity. The game is still slated for a November 2026 release. Take-Two’s stance reflects a broader industry shift where major studios experiment with AI for tooling and productivity while maintaining human-driven artistry in marquee titles.
