OnePlus 13 Receives OxygenOS 15.0.0.850 in India with August Security Patch and BeaconLink Support
OnePlus has begun rolling out OxygenOS 15.0.0.850 for its OnePlus 13 flagship in India, bringing fresh productivity tools, user interface refinements, and the August 2025 Android security patch. The update, carrying firmware number CPH2649_15.0.0.850(EX01), is being distributed in stages, with a small number of users getting early access before a wider release.
Central to the update is BeaconLink, a feature that lets users exchange text, voice, and image messages with nearby devices without relying on mobile data or Wi-Fi. This offline communication system could be particularly useful in remote areas or during network outages.
The multitasking interface receives notable improvements. Floating window interactions are now smoother, and Split View no longer limits users to predefined ratios — instead, the divider between two apps in landscape mode can be adjusted freely.
Private Safe now offers more control over stored content, allowing image and video sharing, album cover customisation, and time-based sorting. A new “Other files” category makes it easier to store miscellaneous documents.
Landscape notifications have been reworked into cleaner banners, designed to minimise distraction while still allowing quick actions. Users can swipe down to open the related app in a floating window, keeping their workflow uninterrupted.
In addition, the Recent Tasks screen introduces a swipe gesture to adjust an app’s lock status directly when multiple apps are stacked.
With the integration of the latest Android security patch, OnePlus 13 owners also gain protection against emerging threats. The rollout is currently limited to the Indian region and will expand gradually in the coming days.
