AWS Marketplace introduces Agreements API for programmatic procurement

AWS Marketplace has introduced the Agreements API to enable programmatic procurement and agreement management, enhancing operational efficiency through integration with existing systems.

AWS Marketplace has launched the Agreements API, a new feature that facilitates the programmatic procurement of AWS Marketplace products and the management of agreements. This development allows users to generate estimates, accept offers, monitor charges and entitlements, update purchase orders, and manage agreements directly within their existing tools and workflows.

The introduction of the Agreements API, when combined with the Discovery API, offers a comprehensive procurement journey from product discovery to purchase completion. Organizations can integrate these APIs into their procurement systems to create customized workflows, thereby streamlining operations across different departments. Additionally, partners have the opportunity to use these APIs to develop custom storefronts, providing a cohesive procurement experience for their clients.

The AWS Marketplace Agreements API is currently available in the US East (N. Virginia) Region. To begin using this service, users need to configure AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) permissions for their AWS account and access the API through the AWS SDK. Further details can be found in the AWS Marketplace Agreement APIs documentation.
