OnePlus Nord 4 Gets Smarter Photos, Better Multitasking with OxygenOS 16.0.2.401 Update
OnePlus has begun rolling out the OxygenOS 16.0.2.401 update for the OnePlus Nord 4 in India, bringing a host of refinements aimed at improving everyday usability.
One of the key highlights of this update is the improved Photos app experience. Users now get additional filter options, including Motion Photo, Screenshots & screen recordings, and Edited, making it easier to sort media. OnePlus has also optimised thumbnail parsing, resulting in faster image loading inside the app.
Multitasking and customisation features have also received attention. Users can now resize app clone icons, drag and rearrange shortcut icons more freely, and access storage cleanup tools directly from the Smart Sidebar.
The Circle to Search feature has also been made more accessible. Even if the gesture navigation bar is hidden, users can still activate the feature by long-pressing the area where the guide bar usually appears.
Alongside feature improvements, the update brings the January 2026 Android security patch and adds the ability to edit photos and videos directly within Private Safe.
The update is currently rolling out in batches for Indian users and will expand to more devices over the next few days.
