Honor Watch 5 Ultra launched in China with titanium body, ECG monitoring, and up to 15-day battery life

Honor has launched the Watch 5 Ultra in China alongside the new Honor Magic V5 foldable phone. The premium smartwatch comes with a titanium body, sapphire crystal display, and advanced health and fitness features. It is available in three colour options with different strap materials and price points.

The Honor Watch 5 Ultra is available in three variants:

• Speedster (black) with a fluororubber strap at CNY 1,999 (around Rs. 23,300)

• Commander (brown) with a leather strap at CNY 2,299 (around Rs. 27,000)

• Strategist with a titanium metal strap at CNY 2,899 (around Rs. 34,000)

The watch is currently on sale in China.

Specifications and features

The Honor Watch 5 Ultra sports a 1.5-inch circular LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and 310ppi, featuring always-on display (AOD) functionality. The screen is protected by sapphire crystal glass, while the body is made from aerospace-grade titanium alloy for enhanced durability.

It supports eSIM and Bluetooth calling, allowing users to make calls directly from the watch. The device also includes Honor’s Yoyo AI assistant and runs on MagicOS 9.0.

Health and fitness tracking

The watch comes equipped with a range of sensors including:

• ECG sensor for instant readings and heart health insights

• Heart rate monitor

• Accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light, air pressure, and geomagnetic sensors

For fitness enthusiasts, the Watch 5 Ultra supports multiple sports modes such as outdoor and indoor running, cycling, swimming, mountain climbing, badminton, snowboarding, and more.

The smartwatch is powered by 64MB RAM and 8GB of storage. It offers IP68 dust and water resistance along with a 5ATM (50 meters) rating, making it suitable for swimming and other water activities.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BeiDou, and QZSS. It is compatible with smartphones running Android 9.0 and above or MagicOS 13.0 and above.

Battery life

The Watch 5 Ultra is backed by a 480mAh battery. Honor claims:

• Up to 15 days of battery life with typical usage (without eSIM)

• Around 7 days with AOD enabled

• About 3 days with eSIM enabled and typical usage

The device supports wireless charging.

Dimensions and weight

The smartwatch measures 46.3 x 46.3 x 11.4mm and weighs approximately 51.8 grams (without the strap).
